Chiapas Education Project is excited to offer an opportunity for local BIPOC folks:Join us on Saturday August 17th from 4-6pm for a class in Tacoma that will teach you some basic computer maintenance skills & allow you to leave the class with a refurbished desktop computer, keyboard & mouse to take home!
We will be walking you through how to dust out the interior of the PC, install a ssd, install windows, & do thermal paste replacement on recycled desktops. Then you will get to take the computer home with you, along with a current Windows 11 program.
The class is free, the computer is free. There is a $50 fee for materials needed to refurbish the computer. You will also want to bring a USB thumb drive to download the Windows 11 program.
