About this Event

The Basic Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) course is a 22-hour training designed to prepare individuals to help themselves, their family, and neighbors in the event of a catastrophic incident. CERT is about doing the greatest good for the greatest number of people.

Students will learn basic skills such as disaster preparedness, disaster medical operations, disaster psychology, fire safety, light search and rescue, and participate in a disaster simulation. A class certificate is provided to those that attend all three days and successfully complete the course.
