Nottingham Save Our Libraries presents a poetry tour of our under threat community libraries with Henry Normal and friends. No tickets required, free event, all welcome.

Henry is co-writer and producer of some of the biggest hits of British TV and film of recent years. He co-wrote Mrs Merton and The Royle Family amongst others, and produced Gavin and Stacey, Alan Partridge, the Oscar-winning film Philomena, and many more. He has performed his poetry widely across the UK. Henry has written and performed six BBC Radio 4 shows, including A Normal Universe.
Performing at Basford Library are Henry Normal, Armor Craw, Harminder Nagi and
Jesse Freeman
In exile from her native Scotland purely to write poems about all the people she loved and lost there. Armor Craw deals with the many different roles she's been dealt as an only child and single mother. Examining the brittleness of love, grief and hopefulness.

Harminder Nagi is one of the brilliant guest poets taking part in our poetry readings. Originally from India, Harminder is a Design Engineer who likes to write poetry for fun.
His style is vivid and lighthearted, often drawing inspiration from everyday life. His poems range from jovial and humorous to childhood melancholy to birdwatching and nature. Harminder is the author of two books: "Continents Connect" and "Journey Through My Thoughts".

The Rage Against The Machine of poetry, Jesse Eden Freeman aka The Rebel Poet is the founder and host of Poetry Scum, a celebration of working class, activist & marginalised creatives & Nottingham's 2nd longest running monthly poetry open mic. She is a ranty, sweary, anarcho-feminist, humanitarian, spoken word activist, tackling many sociopolitical topics, as well as drawing on her own mental health, sexual & domestic violence experiences. As a protest poet Jesse became infamous for her controversial, opinionated, real, raw & brutally honest performances. Hailing herself as the scum that can't be removed & the reason you don't mess with poets, you never quite know what's going to come out of her mouth!
