Theme 'Rhythm of Blues'
Collin & Helena are going to take us on an exciting journey of exploring rhythms of Blues music and dance.
Both of them are rhythm-passionate dancers with musical background!
Even tho we keep on saying Blues music is not only slow, the slow pace of lot of Blues songs often makes people think
that the rhythm is less important in this dance. However, the whole spectrum of Blues music, from slow to fast tempos is rhythm and groove super-charged, just like all the African-Diasporic dances, and we are excited to explore this with all of you! :) We can't wait for claps and stomps to echo through the basement of Frankendael to irresistible Blues rhythms:)
Bringing rhythm into body movement brings clarity, intentionality and opens up doors for confidence and creativity!
