On October 1st, 2022, the general public is invited to experience a full afternoon of local history in the making; an experience that will go down in History as one to forever champion empowerment and encouragement of the true capabilities of individuals with disabilities. For the first time ever in Floyd County as part of the inaugural West Georgia Empowerment and Engagement Tour, a team of local Atlanta-area baseball players with disabilities will work together alongside community leaders and "celebrity" figures in a never-before-seen 7-inning exhibition at Shorter University in Rome. all to champion awareness, acceptance, and empowerment for the societal inclusion of people with disabilities!
Who says witnessing baseball and inclusive history has to be expensive? Who says the price for a fun experience has to rise with inflation?
