“Baseball Sculptures - The Tale of an Artistic Underdog” features the masterful sculptural works of Joey, a rising K9 star amongst Cleveland’s visual arts scene. The family friendly exhibition takes place at the Sculpture Center in Cleveland on Saturday, August 31st from 4:00-6:00pm, and will feature a multimedia program curated by Cleveland musical duo the Baker’s Basement. The event will spotlight Joey’s sculptural displays, and will include baseball themed live music, storytelling, raffles, baseball themed concessions, and visual projections that speak to both the story of Joey’s awe-inspiring journey and to baseball, the sport that led him to create these sculptural marvels.Joey's exhibit is a fundraiser, with proceeds going to benefit the Cleveland Animal Protective League.
The purchase of a ticket to this event includes access to the exhibition, live music, 1 hot dog (meat and veggie options), 1 beverage (beer, wine, soda, water), baseball snacks (peanuts, cracker jacks, and popcorn), artist meet and greet, and the chance to enter a raffle to win one of Joey’s sculptures or other great prizes. Additional beverages and hot dogs may also be purchased.
The majority of proceeds from ticket sales will go to benefit the Cleveland APL, with a small portion going toward event operations.
Please note--as much as we'd love for pets to attend, this is a humans only event--you must tell your pets about it when you get home. There will however be a chance to meet an adoptable dog from the APL.
Kids 12 and under may attend this event for free.
