After two years of cancellations, Barwick Maypole Festival is finally back - bigger and better than ever before!Coinciding with Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee, we'll be raising the country's tallest maypole for the first time in over 5 years. The Maypole Queen's Procession will make its way through the village accompanied by a brass band, Morris Men and folk dancers, before the crowning takes place in the ancient grounds of Hall Tower Field.
With a street market, fun fair, loads of food options and THREE great local pubs it's set to be a fabulous day for all.
And the Festival will come to its climax when our brave climber scales 90 feet to spin the silver fox weathervane on top of the maypole! Not to be missed!
So join us on Thursday the 2nd of June for a most unique Yorkshire day out!
