Curious to explore what a marketplace looks like outside the confinements of monetary exchange? Join us on Sunday, May 18th at the Carriage Factory for a Barter Market! Bartering is whatever you make it, but our goal is to provide an opportunity to trade goods & services within our Jackson (& beyond?) community. We are aiming to make this event inclusive, accessible, & co-creative! Let us know how to make that happen for you! OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

Don’t have anything *special* to offer other than money? No worries! Cash is KING & vendors will also be open to monetary sales. Let’s help them avoid processing fees & come ready to barter with CASH.
Whether it’s your art or craft, crops, food, goods, a dope collection of rocks or glass or records, your business, trade, or skill shares - bring a backpack & participate as a walking vendor.
FYI: Bartering is NOT haggling! Don’t try to knock someone’s price down, the seller determines the worth of what they are exchanging. There should not be expectations that everyone will barter with you just for the sake of bartering, either. We are in a different climate of resources and needs this year and want to make sure there is no pressure to participate without our own individual boundaries. More to come on how I will help make this possible for everyone.
All registration fees go toward paying the musician(s) & heating/renting the carriage factory at Art 634. Vendors must provide their own set-up.
Booth fee: $15-25 sliding scale for a 10x10(ish) space with table + chair
Blanket fee: $5-$10 sliding scale for a floor space with a blanket + chair
Walking fee: $5 to share your services or what’s in your backpack
VENDORS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN TABLES, CHAIRS, BLANKETS, LIGHTS.
