About this Event
Tasting Room opens at 5 pm
Doors open at 6:30 pm
Barry Jean Fontenot is an alternative soul singer (Louisiana-born, Ozark-raised, Chicago-based) whose deep soul cuts are perfect for fans of Sam Cooke and Otis Redding, and whose eclectic compositions bring to mind influences as diverse as Steely Dan, David Bowie, and Kurt Cobain. I aired on season 27 of The Voice and have been featured on NBC, the Bring Back Soul Music podcast, and local outlets up and down the Mississippi River Valley. He’s performed at venues at The Green Mill in Chicago and The Den Theater in Chicago, Cafe Wha in NYC, and Dan Electro’s in Houston, among others, and has been touring through the United States over the past year. Barry recently released multiple singles, including the upbeat but thought-provoking Missing and Prayer, the leading single from upcoming epic soul opera rooted in Sumerian myth, on Spotify and other music streaming platforms. Two longer projects of more original material are currently in the works.
RAYVEN is an alt-pop artist from Racine, Wisconsin, a genre-blurring storyteller whose sound moves between pop, R&B, hip-hop, and alternative with the ease of someone who has never believed in walls. Dreamy, introspective, and expansive, her music is less a genre and more a feeling: intimate, honest, and always in motion.
