Charming downtown Barrington sets the stage for the 16th annual Barrington Art Festival, which takes place on Memorial Day Weekend (May 24 and 25). In partnership with the Village of Barrington, the Barrington Cultural Commission, and the Barrington Area Artists Association, this beloved festival transforms the downtown streets with the works of 120 juried artists from across the country. Explore fine art in all media, including painting, sculpture, jewelry, wearable art, photography, ceramics, and more!
Enjoy live music, interactive art activities for kids, Paint & Sip classes, face painting, caricature artists, giant bubbles, live art demos, and Kid-Friendly Booths, making this a true celebration for the whole family. Delicious food and drinks will be available at the fest, with additional dining options just steps away at local restaurants and cafés. Free entry, wheelchair accessible, and leashed dogs are welcome. The festival is also conveniently located just steps from the UP-NW Metra line.
Attendees are encouraged to bring gently used wall art to donate to the Chicago Furniture Bank, a nonprofit providing furnishings and décor to individuals and families transitioning out of shelters into permanent housing. Several artists at this show will also be participating in Amdur Productions’ Purple Ribbon Project. Look for the purple ribbon on select artworks—when sold, a portion of the proceeds will benefit WINGS Program, Inc. WINGS is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing housing, integrated services, education, and advocacy to end domestic violence.
