Apollo’s Fire and Jeannette Sorrell take you centuries back to a time when the different peoples of Jerusalem lived together in relative peace. In this musical tour of the four quarters of the Old City, the ancient tradition of Hakawati – Middle Eastern storytelling – comes to life alongside ancient Arab and Jewish songs. Phenomenal oud master Ronnie Malley weaves tales of his Palestinian ancestors, while Israeli-American musician Daphna Mor evokes the ancient Middle Eastern landscape with her haunting wind instrument, the ney.
