Barnstormer isn't just a band—it's a full-throttle, Gatsby-style musical experience that brings the Roaring Twenties back to life with swagger, swing, and a touch of back-porch blues. We like to ignite the stage with a high-energy mix of vintage charm, show-stopping musicianship, and irresistible rhythms.
Led by acclaimed Vancouver recording artist Melanie Dekker (me) and backed by some of Canada's finest studio musicians—artists who have shared stages with legends including Aretha Franklin, Diana Krall, and Michael Bublé—Barnstormer delivers a rich, rootsy sound where Jazz Age sparkle collides with bluesy grit and a hint of country soul.
There's a little speakeasy swing, a little front-porch stomp, and a whole lot of personality in this deliciously dangerous group of characters.
