Barnas Verdensdager er en gratis internasjonal familiefestival med kulturuttrykk fra alle verdenshjørner med verksteder, forestillinger, konserter, mat og utstillinger for barn i alle aldre.
Her kan du oppleve Brannbamsen Bjørnis, Onkel Tuka, danseshow, nysirkus, show med sjefen over alle sjefer Asgeir Borgemoen, interaktive forestillinger og buktalershow. Du kan se kino, oppleve Miniafrika, og bli med når Det Norske Blåseensemble og Pianostredet figurteater fremfører et spennende eventyr. I tillegg kan du se en kunstutstilling, høre Dj Sandoo spille groovy musikk, og nyte stemningsfull felespilling, trekkspill og irsk folkemusikk. Festivalplassen bugner av morsomme aktiviteter: få hennamaling, afrikansk ansiktsmaling, eller afrikanske hårfletter, lag mandalabuttons, gøyale festivalbriller og arabiske perlesmykker, eller bli med på tegneverksted. Barna kan også kose seg i det gigantiske piratskip-hoppeslottet, tegne med gatekritt, prøve tråbiler, ri på ponnier, hilse på esler og en kamel, eller ta en tur med hest og vogn.
For de danseglade blir det både streetdance for hele familien og muligheten til å lære brannbamsedansen. Og har du noe på hjertet? På vår egen politiker-stand kan barna stille spørsmål direkte til politikerne.
Ingen festival uten gode smaker: vi byr på vafler, saft og rømmegrøt, popcorn, og ikke minst vårt store internasjonale matmarked, der du kan smake på mat fra hele verden, helt gratis!
Barnas Verdensdager er en dag fylt med opplevelser, smaker, musikk og glede, helt gratis for alle.
Festivalen finner sted i hele Kulturkvartalet i Halden med aktiviteter og forestillinger utendørs på plassen foran Kulturskolen og ved Konservativen, samt innendørs i Kulturhuset, Fredrikshalds Teater, Aladdin Scene, Folkets Hus og Black Box

Barnas Verdensdager (Children’s World Days) is a free international family festival celebrating cultures from around the globe – with workshops, performances, concerts, food, and exhibitions for children of all ages.
Here you can experience Fire Bear Bjørnis, the beloved children’s hero, as well as Onkel Tuka, dance shows, new circus performances, ventriloquist shows, and the one and only “Boss of all bosses” Asgeir Borgemoen live on stage. Enjoy interactive performances, films, MiniAfrica, and a magical fairytale brought to life by The Norwegian Wind Ensemble and Pianostredet Puppet Theatre. You can also explore an art exhibition, listen to DJ Sandoo’s groovy beats, or enjoy the sounds of fiddle, accordion, and Irish folk music.
The festival square will be buzzing with fun activities: try henna painting, African face painting, or African braiding, make your own mandala buttons, funky festival glasses, or pearl jewelry – and join the drawing workshop. Kids can also have a blast in the giant pirate ship bouncy castle, decorate with street chalk, race pedal tractors, ride ponies, meet donkeys and even a camel, or hop on a ride in a horse-drawn carriage.
For dance lovers, there will be street dance workshops for the whole family – and of course, the chance to learn the famous Fire Bear Dance. And if you’ve got something on your mind, our “Ask a Politician” stand gives children the opportunity to ask local politicians their own questions.
And no festival without food: enjoy waffles, juice, and sour cream porridge, popcorn, and our large international food market, where you can taste dishes from around the world – all for free!
Barnas Verdensdager is a day filled with experiences, flavors, music, and joy – and it’s all free for everyone.
The festival takes place throughout Kulturkvartalet in Halden: outdoors on the square in front of the Culture School and Konservativen, and indoors in Kulturhuset, Fredrikshalds Teater, Aladdin Scene, Folkets Hus, and Black Box.
