The Frequency is a fresh acoustic duo bringing a sometimes vibrant, sometimes melancholic sound to variety of genres of both original and more commonly known music. Rooted in folk storytelling roots, the sometimes stray into pop, light rock, and even jazz influenced sounds
We seek to connect with the room and favour live sharing over recording.. sharing thoughts, smiles and occasionally find ourselves bopping our heads to tunes familiar and new.

I am Jodine Clare-Talbot and full disclosure, I am a HEART FANATIC! This story begins with a little girl, sitting cross-legged on the floor of her bedroom, with a shoebox tape deck, a cassette and a pencil—the tools of her trade, trying to sing like Ann Wilson. Hours would slip by as she poured her heart into every note, determined to capture the power and soul of her idol’s voice.
I started cutting my teeth as a singer in the 80s, long before AI could effortlessly remove vocals and generate backtracks. Back then, if you didn’t have a friend to accompany you on piano, you had to make your own way. That’s how I found myself with a guitar in hand, learning to create my own sound. Unbeknownst to me, all those hours, days, weeks, months, and years of vocal training with my beloved Ann Wilson were also a form of mentorship—guided subliminally by Ann’s younger sister, Nancy Wilson. Her influence shaped my playing and style in ways I only fully appreciate now.
I’m not here to recount every step of my journey or list every place I’ve been. The long and the short of it is this: I’m a girl with a guitar, a big voice and it’s no secret that I love singing Rock Anthems!
