SEGMENT 1:
--------------------
Justin Gibson
Hello, my name is Justin Gibson. I’m 19 and I enjoy writing songs. I’m young and still figuring things out, but I like telling people about it through music, hopefully with tasteful and interesting lyrics. Enjoy :)

Legrange
Local artist with a slightly more edgy / rocky feeling to his music.
Taku
Yo Im taku mandi, a singer-songwriter fusing pop, hip-hop, and acoustic indie. My music is a reflection of my life…real, faith-rooted, and built to connect people through honest stories of failure, mountaintops, and everything in between, all while telling truth through the expression of true love.

SEGMENT 2: Nick L’Ange
--------------------
Nick L’Ange is a singer-songwriter who blends his love of outlaw country, countercultural sixties folk and punk rock anger with a fair amount of introspective navel-gazing, existential angst and literal references from books he doesn’t understand properly. ‘My aim is to be a kind of Vonnegut with a guitar.’ He probably hasn’t got there yet, but we’ll see…

SEGMENT 3: Little Rock & Eden
--------------------
Little Rock is the moniker of Durban-born guitarist and singer-songwriter Rochelle Duvenage, now based in Cape Town. Blending introspective lyricism with warm, folk-rock arrangements, her music draws influence from icons like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Simon & Garfunkel, as well as contemporary voices such as Laura Marling and Ruby Gill. Writing songs and poems since the age of seven, and first picking up a guitar at eight, Little Rock's storytelling is rooted in personal experience—navigating themes of memory, mental health, love, loss, and the complexities of growing up. Her honest, soul-searching style resonates through her live performances and carefully crafted songs. In 2024, Rochelle was joined by cellist Eden for the launch of her debut single Winter Years—a collaboration that quickly evolved into an integrated duo. Eden, who has played the cello since the age of six, brings over a decade of experience in performance, recording, and exploration of sound. Her grounded, expressive playing has become a defining element of Little Rock’s live sets, complementing Rochelle’s raw, reflective songwriting with rich, resonant depth. Now also studying sound engineering, Eden draws inspiration from artists like Jacqueline du Pré, and shares Rochelle’s belief that music doesn’t need to be perfect—it just needs to be real.

New week, new format, new connections.
Lately, we’ve been looking at ways to shift the focus toward what the club does best: a simple, organic meeting point in the city for singers, songwriters, and creatives to gather, grab a drink, and connect and share ideas. This Monday, May 25th, we are focusing more on variety and creating a relaxed, creative space where people can just hang out and listen to new music.
Here’s who’s sharing music this Monday night:
✨ The Short Sets: Three distinct voices sharing two songs each. Justin Gibson brings clever acoustic storytelling; Legrange adds an edgy, rocky grit; and Taku blends pop, hip-hop, and indie.
✨ The Feature: Nick L’Ange takes the stage, weaving a unique blend of outlaw country, sixties folk, and punk-infused songwriting.
✨ The Finale: Little Rock & Eden close the evening with a stripped-back combination of folk-rock and rich, resonant cello depth.
Come through, meet some fellow lovers of original songs, and enjoy a great night of local music.
Doors open 6:30 PM, music kicking off 7:30 PM.
