Emma-Jean Beattie

Emma-Jean is an indie folk singer-songwriter / guitarist from the ‘deep south’ of Cape Town.
She has been recognised for her soulful songwriting, making the Barleycorn’s Annual Songwriter’s Competition multiple times. Emma-Jean’s lyrical phrasing is complemented well by her rhythmic guitar style. Her performances are powerful and engaging - as she plays with intensity showcasing her “pop sensibility” and folk/rock roots.
In August 2019, the 'deep south' musician won the competition "Cape Town Unwired", as part of the solo artists category. In March 2020, Emma-Jean released her first single “From the South”, which can be found on various streaming platforms.

The Paul Q Band is where three musicians meet at the intersection of experience and originality. With Paul Q on guitar and vocals, Stuart Wannenburgh on bass and guitar, and Peter Honeyman on drums and percussion, the group builds songs that carry the weight of their influences but speak in their own voice.
Paul’s history as a writer and performer threads through the set. Stuart adds a restless curiosity with his instrumental edge, and Peter’s decades of rhythm give the music both drive and depth. Together they create performances that are unforced, engaging, and deeply human.
