Their blend of southern temperament, Romani culture, klezmer, and Balkan music dissolves imagined borders between genres, cultures, and traditions.Due to a passionate journey of twelve years, Barcelona Gipsy BalKan Orchestra (BGKO) has established itself as an undisputed reference in the global Balkan music scene. The group itself blend the different artistic influences of its members, enriched and shaped by Barcelona’s vibrant musical scene: from Latin American to traditional Catalan, Greek, Italian, Russian and Middle Eastern songs to the vital vibes of jazz manouche and rockabilly. The result is a unique sound that goes straight to the heart.
