Mia Dorr is an energetic and passionate performer with an unparalleled diversity. Mia balances her powerhouse vocals with her whispers, allowing her to bring out the story of every song and draw in the audience with her dynamic performance and stage presence. Mia has been a singer in the Twin Cities music scene for over 25 years. She released a cover album in 2007, her first original album in 2012 and was the lead vocalist on two original songs released in 2019 and another in 2021. Mia also released an album of tasty covers and originals in 2023 as part of representing MN at the International Blue Challenge. Mia has an engaging solo speakeasy theme show, is part of three duos, has fronted bands ranging from the Power of Ten and The Prophets of Soul to Mia Dorr & the Funkin Bluesers. Mia is also the star of three tribute productions, Linda Ronstadt, Dolly Parton and most recently Barbra Streisand.

Mia is joined by the incomparable Jesse Mueller on keys. Jesse is a 39-year-old in-demand phenomena. His performance additions to the local blues/jazz/r&b scene are undeniably raising the bar in the Twin Cities. He doesn’t just play the notes on the page, he sculpts his sound with pianos, organs, synths and samples, all from his Nord Stage 2, prompting some in the audience to whisper “How does he do that?” Jesse is highly regarded for his arrangements and passion for accuracy. He also performs in many big band jazz ensembles and every Sunday at two separate churches. Recognizing Mia Dorr’s incomparable talents as an all-around singer, Jesse quickly agreed to be a solid addition to three of her bands and duo work.
