Cello recitals are always a popular option for our audiences so what better way to kick off the season than with outstanding young cellist Willard Carter. Willard was one of this year’s Young Classical Artist Trust selections for their world-leading artists mentoring scheme and was named a Classic FM ‘Rising Star’ in 2020. He joins us with duo partner Gorka Plada for a programme centered around the sonatas of Debussy and Fauré.
Programme includes:
Schumann - Adagio and Allegro, Op.70
Fauré - Sonata No.2 for cello and piano in G minor, Op.117
Webern - Drei Kleine Stücke, Op.11
Debussy - Sonata for cello and piano in D minor
Doors open at 12.30pm. Please arrive in good time to avoid disappointment.
