Mel Check is a Detroit-based singer-songwriter known for her romantic, warm, acoustic sound, perfect for a candle-lit dinner or an evening under the stars. Her music creates an intimate atmosphere, drawing listeners in with heartfelt lyrics and soothing melodies.

Mel’s journey began at the age of thirteen when her dad gifted her first Mitchell acoustic guitar. From the moment she started songwriting, she found it to be a powerful outlet, transforming her experiences with self-doubt and anxiety into songs that resonated deeply with others.

Over the past two years, Mel has been steadily building her presence, performing at bars, coffee shops, and restaurants throughout Metro Detroit. Her performances center around connection, aiming to create shared meaningful experiences through music.
