DJ JUMPCUT: Carlos F. Grasso is a local musician, composer, film maker and DJ who heads the film scoring ensemble, Asphalt Serenade. He directed a slew of music videos in the 90s and was the original art director of I.R.S. Records, designing covers for R.E.M., The Cramps and Wall Of Voodoo, amongst many others. He also co-created and produced the influential “The Cutting Edge”, a new music and culture program that aired on MTV in the 80s. He is a devoted recordist and collector of all manner of sound.
