Bar-B-Craft at The Resource Exchange

We're excited to bring back BAR-B-CRAFT, an end-of-summer cookout + craft social at The Resource Exchange! Don't let the season pass you by without joining us as we grill up hot dogs, craft our hearts out, and enjoy quality time with friends, family and neighbors.

Bring a creative project that you're working on, or materials to make something totally new! In addition to food & beverages, acitivities will include a community craft swap, karaoke, photo booth, and an Exquisite Corpse illustration station! (...or just kick back and have yourself a pleasant summer evening) ☀️

When: August 11th 4-8pm
*the shop will be open from 12-6pm. If you'd like to purchase any supplies ahead of the event, please arrive early!

Tickets: $10 online | $15 at the door

Your ticket includes:

• 1 hot dog (vegan options available)
• 1 beverage
• Participation in all scheduled activities
• Good vibes ? ?

Activities include:

• Craft Swap (4pm-5:30pm | see below for guidelines)
• Exquisite Corpse illustration station
• Karaoke (starting at 6pm-8pm)
• Photobooth
  We recommend bringing your own:

• Craft supplies
• Chairs (there is very limited outdoor seating)
• Additional beverages & snacks if you'd wish to have more than what's included in your ticket!
  *Note : Extra hot dogs or drinks will be available at a suggested donation price. There is also a Grocery Outlet located across the street.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Weather: This event will take place outdoors, so please prepare accordingly for the warm weather. We suggest bringing a water bottle & sunscreen. There is also a water refill station in the North end of the building.

Refund Policy: As there is no rain date, refunds will only be provided if this event is cancelled. There will be no refunds for cancelled attendance.

Donations: All proceeds from this event will go towards the continuation of our nonprofit's creative reuse programming, which includes an on-site gallery, bi-annual vendor markets, artist workshops, and many other events!

Discounts: We're offering a 10% same-day discount to anyone that posts pics of the event and tags us @theresourceexchange during the event! As mentioned above, the shop will close at 6pm so be sure to arrive early if you'd like to use your discount.

CRAFT SWAP INFO & GUIDELINES

Do you have gently used (or never got around to using) art/craft/maker supplies? Want to reduce your stash + keep it out of landfill?

Join the Craft Swap during Bar-B-Craft! Please read the information and guidelines below.

GUIDELINES:

• When you arrive, please check in with a staff member. Items will be quickly screened upon arrival to ensure that they are an appropriate fit for the swap and/or potential donations to the r.e. Anything left behind will be considered a donation.
• All participants should bring materials to swap in order to participate.
  Appropriate craft swap items include…
• general art & craft supplies
• fabric, ribbon, yarn, & fiber craft
• organized/packaged hardware
• small handtools
• art books
  Please do NOT bring any materials that are dirty, rusty, leaking, broken, excessively large/heavy, or hazardous to handle. A comprehensive list of acceptable/unacceptable materials can be found on our website.
