The Supreme Court decision to strike down Roe v. Wade rushes the nation toward an abyss where we have no civil or human rights. When women don’t have the right to make reproductive choices about their own bodies, we lose a foundational right. When we lose foundational rights, all rights are threatened. There is no separating the sexist and racist and classist aspects of this ruling. There is no separating this ruling from a larger effort to crush our centuries of fighting for reproductive rights of women, for civil and human rights for us all. The Court can crush Roe but it can not crush our resolve. This ruling has only inflamed our resolve.Our weekly Sunday protest! There is no dress code though we are encouraging red body paint with "My body, My choice" written. Bring megaphones, bring your anger, bring water for hydration. Signs welcome and encouraged! Everyone welcome, our fellow sisters, our LGBTQ+ community, our fellow brothers, families small or large, come be heard!
It is important for these protests to remain peaceful and that all activists remain in line with our protesting rights. We will all be respectful to our cities property and remain on the sidewalks, not disrupting traffic!
The time is NOW and we MUST act!
