Schedule

UTC-07:00

Location

NPHX Church | Phoenix, AZ

Come be a part of one of the largest spectator events in Arizona as a banner carrier for the Fiesta Bowl Parade.
About this Event

The Fiesta Bowl Parade needs your help to carry banners in front of the parade floats, dignitaries, and sponsors. The parade length is just under two miles. All volunteers receive a parade T-shirt. Breakfast burritos, donuts, hot chocolate and coffee will be provided at check in.

Parking will be at Steele Indian School Park and volunteers will be shuttled to the staging area at the North Phoenix Baptist Church. We recommend arriving at the parking area by 7:30 in order to have time to get checked in, have breakfast, and get to the banner staging area by 8:30.

Parking details and maps will be provided approximately one week prior to the parade.

To register for the event, select the get tickets tab which will take you to the registration link. You do not need to print or bring the ticket information to the event.

Any questions please call Mark Teetsel at 623-512-8040.

All attendees must acknowledge the Volunteer Waiver when registering. If under 18, this must be acknowledged by a parent or guardian.

  2. Volunteer understands that Volunteer will not be compensated for any time spent volunteering, nor be entitled to any Organization benefits, including employment insurance benefits during or upon the termination of Volunteer’s volunteer service.
  3. Volunteer is volunteering with knowledge of the hazards and potential dangers involved, and agrees to accept any and all risks of personal injury and property damage.
  4. RELEASE FROM LIABILITY AND COVENANT NOT TO SUE. Volunteer agrees, for itself and its personal representatives, executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin and assigns, to release and discharge Arizona Sports Foundation dba Fiesta Bowl, Valley of the Sun Bowl Foundation dba Cactus Bowl (currently known as the “Guaranteed Rate Bowl”), Fiesta Events, Inc. and The Arizona College Football Championship Foundation and each sponsor and promoter of any volunteer opportunities, activities and events (“Event”) in which Volunteer volunteers or any part thereof and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, partnerships, stockholders, owners, governors, partners and other affiliates and each officer, director, governor, shareholder, employee, other official, representative and agent of each of the foregoing, and all of the foregoing's respective successors and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties"), from, and waive in respect of each Released Party and covenant not to sue any Released Party for, any and all liabilities, losses, damages, costs, expenses (including, but not limited to, attorneys' fees and expenses), causes of action, suits and claims of any nature whatsoever (collectively, the "Liabilities") arising from, based upon, or relating to personal injury or death, or damage to or loss of property of, the Volunteer sustained in connection with the Volunteer’s participation in an event or activity or travel to or from the event or activity. Such Release shall include, but not be limited to, any and all such Liabilities caused in whole or in part by the negligence of any Released Party in connection with such Released Party’s involvement with the event or activity (for example, in connection with such Released Party’s training of event or activity personnel or provision of or failure to provide protective equipment or failure to require that protective equipment be worn).

PARTICIPANT ASSUMES RISK. Volunteer is aware of and understands the inherent risks and dangers of the Event and the potential for injury that exists when participating in this Event, and agrees to assume all risk of and responsibility for personal injury or death, or damage to or loss of property of, the Volunteer arising from, based upon or relating to the Volunteer’ participation in the Event. 1. MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION. In case of an emergency, Volunteer authorizes the Organization to take such medical actions as, in Organization’s sole and absolute judgement, may be necessary to protect the Volunteer. Volunteer understands and agrees that, in the event of any injury to Volunteer, none of the Released Parties will be responsible for any decisions relating to medical treatment for Volunteer or for such treatment itself.
  2. Volunteer understands that the materials and tools provided by the Organization are and remain the property of the Organization and Volunteer agrees to return these tools and any remaining materials to the Organization at the end of its volunteer service.

Volunteer agrees, for itself and its personal representatives, executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin and assigns, to release and discharge each Released Party from, to waive in respect of each Released Party, and not to sue any Released Party for, any and all Liabilities arising from, based upon or relating to any claim for invasion of privacy, violation of right of publicity, defamation or appropriation or any similar claim, in connection with any such use.

Thus, you may be the subject of a consumer report or an investigative consumer report which may include a review of database records including but not limited to sex offender registries, child abuse and criminal history records. The Fiesta Bowl Organization reserves the right to update its background investigations at any time to the extent permitted by law. You will be notified in the event you are denied an opportunity to participate with the Organization, in whole or in part, because of information in any consumer report or investigative consumer report and will have the right, upon written request made within a reasonable time after receipt of such notice, to request disclosure of the nature and scope of the report by contacting LexisNexis Screening Solutions Inc. (“LexisNexis Screening Solutions”), P.O. Box 105108, Atlanta, GA 30348-5108, Phone No.: 1-800-845-6004.Authorization & ReleaseI hereby acknowledge and certify that I have received, read and understand the DISCLOSURE REGARDING BACKGROUND CHECK and A SUMMARY OF YOUR RIGHTS UNDER THE FAIR CREDIT REPORTING ACT and that I accept and sign this form voluntarily. I authorize the obtaining of consumer reports and/or investigative consumer reports by the Fiesta Bowl Organization during the application process and at any time during the tenure of my volunteer services on behalf of the Organization. I also understand and agree that, if appointed, my volunteer status is conditional upon the Organization receiving no inappropriate information on my background. I further authorize any individual, company, firm, corporation or public agency (including law enforcement agencies) to furnish any and all information, verbal or written, pertaining to me to the Fiesta Bowl Organization and/or LexisNexis Screening Solutions on behalf of the Organization. I hereby release and agree to hold harmless from liability the Fiesta Bowl Organization, the directors, officers, employees and volunteers thereof, LexisNexis Screening Solutions and/or any other person or Organization that may provide such information. I agree that a facsimile, electronic transmission (e.g., .pdf) or photographic copy of this Authorization shall be deemed to be my original signature for all purposes and will be valid for any reports the Organization may request.
