Pauline Blackburn intimately draws the listener into the rich sound of her voice and the passion of her performance. With fine words, good rhythm, and interesting melodies she adapts her choice of song to the audience while showing eclectic taste.
As well as her catchy and honest self-penned songs you will hear the likes of The Cranberries, Mary Hopkins, 4 Non Blondes, Blondie, Joni Mitchell, Bob Marley, George Ezra, Amy MacDonald and old classics such as Blue Moon and Summertime - all delivered with panache.
Pauline has been performing in a variety of venues and festivals throughout the country from a young age for more than 30 years as solo artist or fronting her original band. She is also organizer of events, including the Wigan Folk Club and open mic nights, keeping
connected within the local community.
A review of Coppull Free Folk Festival refers to Pauline’s ‘magnificent voice and strong guitar work’ and is reflective of her ‘caring and pleasant personality.’
Also, Merry Hell manager Damian Liptrott says “The emotive nature of her performances has been known to reduce people to tears – in the nicest and most positive way possible see– such is her ability to convey emotion through her songs”
