We are pleased to announce that the Bangladesh Economics Olympiad is scheduled to take place on June 17, 2023 at Dhaka Residential Model College (DRMC). Online Selection Round is scheduled to take place on June 14, 2023. This national competition, designed for high school (O level) and college level (A level) students, focuses on Economics, Financial Literacy, and Business Case Solving. The winners of the Bangladesh Economics Olympiad will have the honor of representing Bangladesh in two prestigious international events. The top 5 contestants will compete in the International Economics Olympiad 2023, held in Greece, while the following 6 contestants will participate in the World Economics Cup 2023, taking place in China.
Bangladesh has been participating in the International Economics Olympiad since 2019 and the World Economics Cup since 2020. Over the years, our dedicated team has achieved remarkable success, securing 2 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and 6 bronze medals in these esteemed competitions.
Registration:
- Fee: Free
- Eligibility: Students from any discipline can participate.

Bangladesh Team Selection Process:
1. Online selection round (MCQ): Top 200 students will advance to the next round.
2. National round (Theory & MCQ): Top 30 contestants will proceed to the theory round.
3. Team selection camp (MCQ, theory & business case solving): Top 5 contestants will get a chance to participate in International Economics Olympiad 2023 & next 6 contestants will be selected to participate in World Economics Cup, 2023.
