Our gig night, every other month at The Hairy Dog brings fresh music to Derby's best venue. Gigs run 6pm til 9pm - there's not a lot else to do on a Sunday except eat good dinner, have a nap, pop to a gig, and still get home early cos it's a school night, right? 16+ but Under 18s must be with an adult.Zopp - https://linktr.ee/zoppmusic
Zopp are a British act whose music spans jazz-rock, ambient, folk, psychedelic rock and endless heaps of prog, particularly of the Canterbury variety. Expect gloriously intricate, intense fuzzed organ heavy compositions, reminiscent of Soft Machine, Frank Zappa, and Egg. The band are breathing new life into the progressive genre, with two internationally critically acclaimed, award-winning* studio albums to date. Sid Smith, writer for Prog Magazine and biographer for King Crimson, announced Zopp's latest record 'Dominion' as his 'favourite album of 2023'.

Flex Index are an indie pop trio from Derby. Taking influence from music of the 80s to present day, they bring a blend of indie, pop sensibilities and alternative rock to form their unique sound.
Belt
Belt are a five piece who make beautiful, undefinable music that swims between an opiated Tom Waits and Portishead after eight sleepless nights. They're outlaws from the finest Nottingham tradition who eschew boundaries. The musicianship is superlative, intelligent, and strikes the listener in the gut with a directness more associated with punk rock than a group of kind hearted lunatics as dedicated to musical exploration as a Charlie Parker solo. Their songs are life's realities made danceable. Now working on their debut album "The Style at The Time," you're invited to ride along on a unique musical journey. Buckle up.
