ABOUT THIS PHOTO WORKSHOP
This 3 night Banff landscape photography workshop focuses on chasing DRAMATIC LIGHT during one of the most photogenic times of year, the transition to winter. It is the perfect time to photograph as the crowds have died down, the landscape is covered with fresh snowfall & frost, and yet the lakes remain mostly unfrozen. The fragile, fleeting icy edges of these lakes and their accompanying rivers provide additional LEADING LINES that we will take advantage of when searching for compositions at each location.
Our base will be in Lake Louise, in the heart of Banff National Park and each day we'll venture to different locations in the surrounding area depending on the light and weather. During one sunset we will visit the top of the Banff Gondola (included in the event cost) for photographing MOUNTAIN LAYERS so come prepared with your telephoto lens! We will also visit the top of the Lake Louise ski resort gondola for sightseeing/photos to complete an unbeatable mountain top duo (also included in the event cost).
By the end of the workshop you will have captured some amazing photographs, have learnt new techniques or sharpened your skills, and made new friends in the Canadian Rockies.
