Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour 2026 - Tāhuna Queenstown

The New Zealand Alpine Club with Presenting Partners, World Expeditions, La Sportiva, NZ Mountain Safety Council and Osprey, bring the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour back to Tāhuna Queenstown this April!
Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival is one of the largest and most prestigious mountain festivals in the world! Hot on the heels of the Festival that is held every fall in beautiful Banff, Alberta, the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour hits the road. With stops planned in over 600 communities and more than 40 countries across the globe, the Banff World Tour celebrates amazing achievements in outdoor storytelling and filmmaking worldwide.
From the over 400 entries submitted to the Festival competition each year, award-winners and audience favourites are among the films that are carefully selected to play in theatres around the world. Travelling to remote vistas, analysing topical environmental issues, and bringing audiences up-close and personal with adrenaline-packed action sports, the 2025/2026 World Tour is an exhilarating and provocative exploration of the mountain world.

This screening is a fundraiser for the New Zealand Alpine Club.

We will be screening two programmes, Ruapehu and Tasman over two nights. All screenings start at 7:00pm with doors open from 6.30pm.

Tickets prices are;

• Single Screening General Admission - $30
• Double Screening General Admission - $50
• Single Screening NZAC member - $20

Limited stock of select double-screening tickets available. Once double-screening tickets are sold out, individual tickets to each screening will need to be purchased.

You can show your ticket digitally on your phone, or print your ticket. If you're an NZAC member please bring your membership card with you. Double Screening Pass tickets will need to be brought along to each screening.
