Craft your own bandsaw box and learn some woodworking skills in this fun hands-on class!
About this Event

This all-level class will take you through the process of making a bandsaw box, a creative woodworking project that utilizes just one chunk of wood to make a freeform vessel. Students will design, layout, cut, glue, sand and finish either a lidded box or a box with a drawer in one afternoon. This is a great project if you are a complete beginner looking for a fun place to get started or an experienced woodworker looking to improve your skills using the bandsaw.

Tools and Material are provided.

Class will take place on August 15th, and run from 12pm to 4pm.

Taught by Nicole Reidinger

Nicole has been working with wood for 12 years. She started as a self-taught maker and has been fortunate enough to take woodworking classes around the country. After some time making custom furniture and presenting work at markets and pop ups, she moved into the education space. Nicole has been a CTE/STEAM middle school teacher for about a decade, teaching children woodworking, ceramics, art, coding, 3D printing and more. She also teaches woodworking at local woodshops and art studios in the triangle. Her personal mission is to make woodworking more accessible to anyone who wants to learn.
