Mickey Finn’s welcomes Banda Yala Duo for an evening dedicated to the spirit of Rebetiko 🇬🇷

First, enjoy a live concert by:
Odysseas Manidakis — bouzouki, vocals
Aron Hollinger — guitar, vocals 🎸

Formed in 2016 during their studies at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz (Jazz Guitar & Composition), the duo began by playing Greek folk music simply for the love of it. What started as informal sessions quickly grew into regular performances across Linz and surrounding venues. Over the years, their musical dialogue evolved — blending traditional Rebetiko with touches of jazz and modern expression, sometimes faithful to the old recordings, sometimes exploratory, always heartfelt.

Their music travels through the colorful mosaic of Rebetiko — modal melodies, raw emotion, and rhythmic swing.

After the concert, the night continues with an open Rebetiko jam session 🎻🪕
Musicians are warmly invited to join, bring their instruments, and play together — keeping the tradition alive the way it was meant to be: shared 🤝
