Topic: Measuring the Impact of Volunteer Contributions (Roundtable Discussion)
How do we truly measure the impact of volunteers beyond hours served and headcounts? Join us for an interactive roundtable discussion focused on measuring the real impact of volunteer contributions. Together, we’ll explore how volunteer managers are capturing both the numbers and the stories that demonstrate value—strengthening funding proposals, deepening organizational buy-in, and aligning volunteer efforts with mission outcomes. Come ready to share what’s working, what’s challenging, and what you’re curious to try as we learn from one another.
Questions to think about:
What quantitative data do you currently track to measure volunteer impact, and how is it being used or shared?
How do you capture qualitative impact—such as stories, feedback, or observations—from volunteers, staff, or those served?
What challenges have you encountered when trying to measure or communicate volunteer impact?
How do you balance data and storytelling to demonstrate value to leadership, funders, and the community?
What is one metric or approach you’d like to strengthen or try in the coming year?
