We are excited to have BCC's executive director Mac Campbell speak on the updates tot the Baltimore Convention Center updates and happenings .

The Baltimore Convention Center (BCC) is a 1.2 million-square-foot venue in the Mid-Atlantic region that hosts premier events including conventions, tradeshows, banquets, and more. The facility features 300,000 square feet of contiguous exhibition space, 85,000 square feet of flexible meeting space across 50 rooms, and a 36,672-square-foot multifunctional ballroom, offering versatility to accommodate any event.

Each year, the BCC welcomes over 100 events and hundreds of thousands of visitors to Charm City. Its mission is to generate positive economic impact for the region while serving the community with a focus on sustainability and equity.

Since opening in 1979, the Center has undergone a major expansion in 1996 and is now advocating for another renovation. The Baltimore Convention and Tourism Redevelopment and Operating Authority Task Force (HB1016)—created through legislation passed during Maryland’s 2025 session—is currently conducting research and developing recommendations for a new governing authority and the revitalization of the facility.

The BCC is also managing $35 million in capital projects, including the renovation of elevators, restoration of the Charles Street pedestrian bridge, and upgrades to exhibit hall restrooms, among other improvements. Through these efforts, the Center continues to serve as a cornerstone of Baltimore’s downtown community.
