Each of the five classes will offer Breathwork and Journaling with various methods of sound healing, and a different essential oil each week to make this a delicious way to start off your New Year!

What is Baltimore Breathwork?

Baltimore Breathwork is an active self-healing meditation technique. Elizabeth combines breathwork, with a curated musical experience which always includes rock-n-roll and laughter. It's an opportunity to get out of your head and release all of your emotions, and then drop into your heart and feel connected to yourself. Some people experience a dramatic shift in just one session.

At the start of class often there is a guided meditation, then a suggestion that you set an intention for breathwork whether that is to release an emotion or memory that has been worrying you, or to call in joy, creativity, or an answer you are seeking. I ask that you to set it, and then forget it: and let the experience you are supposed to have happen.

After Breathwork, there is a period of integration which includes a short sound bath where some people have deep rest whereas others download creative ideas or inspired ideas.

At the beginning and end of the sessions in this series you can choose to journal with the given prompts/sketch/meditate/or socialize to integrate the experience. Class will be between 60 and 90 minutes, probably closer to 90 minutes.

How to Prepare for Class:

• Journal or sketchbook

• smooth stones to hold (I have some I can share)

• blanket

• eye pillow (I have some I can share with washable covers)

• Water if desired

Liz “Baltimore Breathwork” became interested in both sound healing and meditation about a decade ago. She started going to Guy Douglas's (Today Show) sound baths in Brentwood, California and spent time at a silent meditation retreat with Noah Levine in France. After the silent retreat she realized that she needed music, laughter, and joy in her own self-healing practice. Breathwork fit the bill. Her early experiences with it in Malibu, California proved to also be the most profound healing that she found on her quest. She then studied with David Elliott completing all four levels of his breathwork training in Sandia Park, New Mexico. In 2017 she left her career as a classroom teacher to become a skilled intuitive healer: believing that the role of a healer to is help others use the breath for their own transformation. She has since helped hundreds of clients in both groups and individual sessions with transformative sessions

Benefits of Breathwork

Our body is a living library of our past emotions and memories. When we experience something traumatic, our brain is often unable to process all the emotions and instead stores the energy in our body until it can become released. These unprocessed emotions can wreak all sorts of havoc on us, ranging from anxiety and depression to manifesting as physical ailments. Breathwork creates a safe environment for the body to feel and release old emotions and memories. You could find yourself crying, trembling, shaking, or even laughing. This is your body’s way of processing and LETTING GO of emotions and memories that it doesn’t need anymore. This sounds very heavy. Yes, breathwork is very powerful, but most of the healing is done on a subconscious level while we have fun and relax in class. Yes, healing is work--but we can laugh too. Laughter is the best medicine after-all.
