Baltic way anniversary celebration at the Perth Latvian Centre DV club

Come along to socialise with other Baltic people and celebrate the Baltic way. On 23 August 1989 two million people joined their hands formed a 600 km long human chain through the Baltic countries demonstrating their unity in wanting freedom from USSR rule.
There will be a (short!) film in English, and time to mingle and enjoy coffee and cakes after the event. Feel free to BYO alcohol, and if you feel like doing some cooking and showing off your country's speciality you're welcome to bring some to show off! We'll start the film at 15:00.
The DV club will also feature an art exhibition celebrating 80 years of the Latvian Daugavas Vanagi organisation.
