Let's Dance! Ballroom, Latin, Swing, & Nightclub • Please join us for ballroom dancing in a friendly and informal setting welcoming to beginners, singles and couples • Sundays, 5:30pm

About the Instructors
Lila’s Reid
Lila Reid is a full time dance instructor teaching across the Willamette Valley, and has been teaching dance throughout the United States since 2011. She is the Coordinator of the Social & Artistic Dance Program at Oregon State University, where she teaches all levels of social ballroom, country western partner, latin, and line dancing, as well as hip hop and jazz. She also teaches courses at University of Oregon, Willamalane Parks and Recreation, and Corvallis Community Center.

Lila and her partner, Bear Scamman, host a country western dance event every Tuesday at the Springfield Elks Lodge, as well as weekend events in the area for country western, where Lila often instructs dance lessons for the community. Lila is originally from the state of Maine. She received her BA in Dance from Mount Holyoke College, with a Teacher Licensure for Dance K-12. She received her MFA in Dance from University of Oregon, where she was also a Graduate Fellow in Dance. When not in the classroom, you can find Lila scootin’ her boots most weekends at local events, as well as enjoying bachata and west coast swing!

Lila’s demonstration partner is Ella Henely.
Ella Henely is a student at Oregon State University pursuing her degree in Mathematics Education and the Student Teaching Assistant for the Dance Program at Oregon State University. Ella has been dancing since childhood, starting social dancing her freshman year of college. Last year she received her Dance Teaching Certificate and started teaching her own classes at the University. She teaches primarily ballroom styles and country western partner, Latin and swing styles.
