Ballet Under the Stars - 2027
About this Event
Metamorphosis Dance’s season will close with one of our favorite shows, the annual free-to-the-public production of Ballet Under the Stars at the Zilker Hillside Theater June 4-5. We're proud of our long-standing tradition of offering free performances at Zilker Park and we hope to keep this Austin tradition of live dance performances going for many years to come!
The show will start just before sundown, around 8pm, on June 4-5 (Rain Date June 6) at Zilker Hillside Theater. Set up your blankets on the hillside early to enjoy the park and watch the pre-show preparations of the dancers. This Austin tradition is fun for the whole family and a great way to kick off your summer! Whether it's your first time at a dance performance or you are a seasoned patron of the arts, you will be amazed at the talent and creativity of our artists.
This season’s program offers something for everyone, from the breathtaking beauty of “The Kingdom of the Shades” from La Bayadère, staged by Heather Meeboer, to energetic Broadway tap, exciting jazz set to classic hit songs, and whimsical contemporary ballet. With a vibrant mix of styles and performances, Ballet Under the Stars promises an evening of dance that will delight audiences of all ages and preferences.
