Starting September 1, 2021, Proof of Vaccination is required for all, age 12 or older to board the ship.


Location and Parking

Matthew Turner is docked at the US Army Corps of Engineers Bay Model Visitor Center. Access is via Marinship Way. Free parking is available in the lot. A crew member will meet you at the gate to escort you down the pier to the ship.

What to Bring

  • Dress in layers and comfortable shoes. No high heels are permitted.
  • Masks are required to access the interior spaces of the ship
  • Cameras are welcome

Kathryn Roszak's presents a highlight dance based on the novel by by Isabel Allende, The House of the Spirits.

The performance will feature Basia Rhoden, currently a Trainee at San Francisco Ballet. She performed in the San Francisco Ballet Company’s Nutcracker in 2019. In years prior, she has traveled for performance opportunities and competitions, including Prix de Lausanne (2019), Beijing International Ballet Competition (2019), and Youth America Grand Prix Finals (2018 & 2019).


Kathryn Roszak's Danse Lumière has performed in NYC and in SF Bay Area, and Roszak is the founder of Women Ballet Choreographers and Composers Institute, presenting programs both in New York City and in the San Francisco Bay Area. The institute will recognize Wendy Whelan, Associate Artistic Director of New York City Ballet, for her leadership. The award ceremony will take place in New York City this fall. Roszak has also curated a program of women ballet choreographers for the BAMPFA, featuring Smuin Ballet, Berkeley Ballet Theater, and Diablo Ballet along with Danse Lumière.

Why Call of the Sea?

We're a nonprofit supporting on-the-water environmental education. During the week, we provide educational programs to youth.
