Ballet BC's distinctively bold and innovative approach to dance thrills audiences around the world. New Artistic Director Medhi Walerski brings a program of extraordinary depth to our stage, including the stunning one-act play The Statement, Walerski's own creation Garden, and a selection from his wonderfully minimalist Romeo and Juliet. The Statement, choreographed by Crystal Pite, is a riveting exploration of conflict set around a corporate conference table. Garden was inspired by Walerski's adoration for the intricate and emotional interplay between strings and piano in Camille Saint-Saens's exquisite Piano Quintet in A minor.
