Ballet and the Beasts

Join us for a captivating evening under the stars as Montgomery Ballet presents Ballet and the Beasts, a free community performance that has become a beloved tradition in Montgomery, Alabama, for over 40 years! Set against the enchanting backdrop of the Montgomery Zoo, this year's event promises to be an unforgettable experience for audiences of all ages.

This year, we are excited to showcase an array of performances, including the elegant pas de trois from the classical ballet Paquita, pas de quatre of Animated Frescoes from Humpback Horse, and Carnival of the Animals, featuring choreography inspired by Camille Saint-Saëns' whimsical score and poem by Ogden Nash. You'll also witness the artistry of our special guests from Troy University's Dance Department and the harmonious sounds of the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra (Quartet).

• Additional Info: Remember to bring a blanket or lawn chair for seating. Concessions will be available, and the event is family-friendly.

Registration and Participation:

• Montgomery Ballet School: It's not too late to register for our ballet school, with classes available for ages 3 to adult. Students enrolled will have the opportunity to perform in both Ballet and the Beasts and The Nutcracker this season.
• Pre-Registration Not Required: Just show up and enjoy the show!
