Bali: The Sacrifice is a play by Girish Karnad that explores power, morality, desire and religious belief through a deceptively simple domestic conflict. It revolves around a King, his wife - the Queen, his mother - the Queen Mother and one of his elephant keepers - the Mahout.

The was originally written in Kannada in 1980 and went by the name of Hittina Hunja. It has been taken from an ancient Kannada epic, Yashodhara Charite. The English translation is by Girish Karnad himself.
