This hands-on workshop will teach the beginner baker how to make artisan sourdough bread.About this Event
Students will learn the basics of sourdough bread, from how to maintain, feed and care for a starter/levain (and what the difference is!), how to mix, bulk ferment, shape, and proof a sourdough loaf, then how to score and bake a boule. This class has some down-time where we will prepare our own charcuterie boards. 3 Hour Workshop.
Details:
- Youth, ages 8-17 are always welcome to purchase a seat in classes, but must attend with a paid accompanying adult.
- Expect that you may be working alongside a partner. If you do not attend with a friend, you may be working with someone you hadn't met before the class.
- Please wear comfortable, clean clothing and closed-toe shoes, with the option to roll up your sleeves and tie back your hair.
- Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to get checked in.
