Bakewell Christmas Market 2022

One of Derbyshire's favourite Christmas markets is returning this year. The Bakewell Christmas Market will be held on Market Street, Granby Road and Riverside Crescent in Bakewell and welcomes visitors, friends and families to a very quintessential Christmas market.

A local DJ will be playing over the entire weekend which will have lots of entertainment for the entire family. Rachel's Magical Entertainment will be around town with her characters, Mickey and Minnie, there will be a couple of fair rides and there will even be the opportunity to post a letter to Santa Claus.

Live music from several local guests can be expected for the event organised by KL events. These include the Matlock Tuneless Choir, Bakewell Silver Band, Bakewell Community Choir, the Salvation Army and Castle Silver Band.

Due to the volume of people expected to turn out, the event's organisers strongly encourage travelling to the market by public transport.

Saturday, November 19

• 11am to 12pm - Matlock Tuneless Choir
• 12pm to 1pm - Bakewell Silver Band
• 1pm to 2pm - Bakewell Community Choir
• 2pm to 3pm - Sheffield Steel City Band
• 10am to 2pm - Salvation Army
• 11am to 3pm - Rachel's Magical entertainment with her characters

Sunday, November 20

• 11am to 12pm- Castleton Silver Band
• 12pm to 1pm - Bakewell Silver Band
• 1pm to 2pm - Hathersage Brass Band
• 2pm to 3pm - Buxton Billerettes

There will be a local independent food court and Christmas market, complete with festive bars. Father Christmas will make an appearance complete with his sleigh, and children will have the chance to pet a real reindeer.

Christmas carols from Ashover Band and Peak Performance Choir are also to be expected. Like the Bakewell Christmas Weekend this event is also free.
