Get ready for a night of vibrant rhythms and sounds as Jazz Tupiniquim performs for the first time in Perth's FringeWORLD 2025 with their exhilarating new show, "Baile Tupi!" This time, they're turning up the heat with the bold and powerful sounds of winds and brass, adding an epic layer to their already dynamic Brazilian-jazz fusion.
Prepare to dance non-stop as Jazz Tupiniquim delivers an irresistible mix of genres, from Samba to Maracatu and Forró.
Drawing inspiration from legendary Brazilian ensembles like Banda Black Rio, Banda Mantiqueira, and Frevo Spok, this performance will showcase Jazz Tupiniquim's fresh, original arrangements, tailor-made to ignite the dance floor.

Jazz Tupiniquim is a quartet of Brazilian instrumental music, which takes influence of several Brazilian rhythms, such as Choro, Samba, Bossa-Nova, as well as influences from artists such as Hermeto Pascoal, Pixinguinha, Tom Jobim, and others.
The group brings a very upbeat vibe to the evening, with a unique formation consisting of Danilo da Paz – Piano Accordion, Emily Gelineau – Violin, Joshua de Silva – 7 string guitar and Fábio Macarrão – drum kit.
Having performed at prestigious events and venues such as the Perth International Jazz Festival, the United Nations Gala Australia, JazzConnect Festival, Wally’s Jazz Club (USA), and the JazzLab Brunswick (VIC), the group is honoured to present their first event in the 2025 FringeWorld Festival.
