2026. gada augustā koncertu cikls VASARAS KLASIKA turpina priecēt orķestra un ērģeļu spēles cienītājus. Klausītāji aicināti uz cikla pirmo koncertu, kurā Orķestris “Rīga”, kopā ar ērģelnieci Ilzi Reini, diriģenta Valda Butāna vadībā, atskaņos programmu “BAHS. PERTS. PENDERECKIS”.
Īpašu skanisko dimensiju koncertam piešķirs Sv. Jāņa baznīcas ērģeles, kuru skanējumu dialogā ar Orķestri “Rīga” veidos ērģelniece Ilze Reine.
Programma izgaismo trīs izcilu komponistu mantojumu, atklājot saikni starp Baha monumentālo polifonijas tradīciju un 20. un 21. gadsimta garīgās mūzikas izteiksmes valodu. Koncerta dramaturģija ved no baroka laika arhitektoniski grandiozajām formām caur Penderecka spēcīgo sakrālās mūzikas valodu līdz Arvo Perta meditatīvajai un introspektīvajai skaņu pasaulei, izgaismojot muzikālās izteiksmes pārvērtības trīs gadsimtu garumā.

In August 2026, the SUMMER CLASSICS concert series once again invites admirers of orchestral and organ music to experience an evening of exceptional music. Audiences are welcome to the opening concert of the series, where Orchestra RIGA, joined by organist Ilze Reine and conducted by Valdis Butāns, presents the program “BACH. PÄRT. PENDERECKI”.
A special sonic dimension will be created by the organ of St. John’s Church, brought into dialogue with Orchestra RIGA by one of Latvia’s leading organists, Ilze Reine.
The program highlights the distinctive musical languages of three outstanding composers, revealing connections between the monumental polyphonic tradition of Bach and the spiritual depth of twentieth- and twenty-first-century music. The concert traces a dramaturgical journey from the grand architectural forms of the Baroque through the powerful sacred expression of Krzysztof Penderecki to the meditative and introspective sound world of Arvo Pärt, illuminating the transformation of musical expression across more than three centuries.
