Baha'i Houses of Worship: Embodying Unity and Diversity

Gail Radley, children's author and retired lecturer of English from Stetson University, will present on "Baha'i Houses of Worship: Embodying Unity and Diversity."
Places of worship are usually built with the goal of uplifting worshippers' spirits toward the heavens to inspire awe and devotion. The nine-sided Baha'i Houses of Worship do as well and also embody the core belief in the oneness of mankind. Rather than uniformity, Bahai's celebrate unity in diversity, prizing the unique expressions of the world's cultures. This visual presentation will show how that concept is manifested in structures around the world.
