To celebrate the launch of Bad Form’s eleventh print issue, a chance to see some of the best contemporary writers of colour in conversation at Foyles, in the second of two panel events in September.

Join Ore Agbaje-Williams, Monica Ali and Cecile Pin as they discuss publishing their novels – from the writing process, to being edited, to finding their books out in the world.

Ore Agbaje-Williams is a British-Nigerian writer and editor from North London who has written for gal-dem, Glamour UK and Wasafari magazine. Her fiction writing has also been featured on Reflex Fiction. Her first novel, The Three of Us, is published in 2023.

Monica Ali is a bestselling writer whose work has been translated into 26 languages. She is the author of five books: Brick Lane, Alentejo Blue, In the Kitchen, Untold Story and Love Marriage. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and in 2003 was named as one of Granta’s Best of Young British Novelists. She has been nominated for the Booker Prize, the George Orwell Prize and the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize – among others.

Cecile Pin grew up in Paris and New York City. She moved to London at eighteen to study Philosophy at University College London, followed by an MA at King’s College London. She previously worked in publishing. She writes for Bad Form and is a London Writers Awards 2021 winner. Wandering Souls is her first novel and was longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction. It is being published in eleven territories in 2023.
