At December Bad Art Club join us for a hands-on experience creating cyanotype prints. Cyanotype is an affordable low-tech method for crafting sun-powered photographic prints. Learn the process make unique prints using natural materials and take home a handmade cyanotype-printed instruction book.

Please note: this month is a mask-required class

Saturday Dec. 16 from 2-5 pm at Eno Arts Mill

$0-30 sliding scale recommended ages 10+

Guest artist Amber Tripodi can never decide between art and science so she tries to mesh them the best she can with a mad scientist approach to making art. She sees art as an integral part of life and an important way to build community and spends her spare time doing what she can to enable the art community with CoLab Studio.

Join our workshop to:

  • Gain insights into the history and basic chemistry behind cyanotype creation
  • Explore necessary materials methods for contact negatives and witness a step-by-step demonstration of the entire process including paper preparation to final print
  • Engage in discussions about safety valuable tips creative variations troubleshooting and exchanging ideas.
