Backyard Beekeeping Basics
Come join us at Sunshine Station NC for a buzzing good time at our Backyard Beekeeping Basics event! Together we will light up the smoker and discover the incredible lives of these tiny yet mighty creatures. We'll get up close and personal with the bees, taste some delicious honey, and maybe even spot the queen bee!
You will learn about the different types of bees in a hive and the roles they play, discover how bees transform nectar into honey, and learn how a queen becomes a queen.
Age limit is 14 and up. Safety jacket, veiled hat, and gloves will be available for use, or you're welcome to bring your own. Please wear long pants and close toed shoes.
