Backstage Theatre Career Discovery Day is a FREE, full-day event that aims to connect workers with career opportunities in Winnipeg's vibrant theatre community.
Spend the morning at Prairie Theatre Exchange and the afternoon at Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, touring the facilities, attending demonstrations and speaking directly with industry professionals.
𝗘𝗫𝗣𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗥𝗦 𝗜𝗡:
◆ Lighting design, operation and crew
◆ Costume design and creation
◆ Set design and carpentry
◆ Stage management and fly crews
◆ Props design and creation
◆ Sound design and operation
◆ Scenic painting
𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗨𝗟𝗗 𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗗?
◆ Emerging theatre workers or people with previous backstage training or experience
◆ Anyone with transferable skills in creative, technical, administration or skilled-trades fields
◆ Anyone who is interested in learning the skills needed to pursue backstage work
